SPATIAL ANALYSIS OF TAXI SERVICE RIDES IN THE VLAŠIM REGION USING GPS TECHNOLOGY
HOLADA, Tomáš
This bachelor thesis deals with the spatial layout of taxi service rides in the Vlašim region using GPS technology. In the introductory part, the bachelor thesis itself is presented and its goals are described and explained here. The next part is devoted to literature concerning transport, spatial mobility, alternative modes of transport and the importance of taxi service in the region. As a part of the research, taxi rides were mapped in two seperate periods, namely July and October of 2021. After obtaining the necessary data, the analysis was performed and its results are presented in the analytical part of the thesis. Firstly, attention is paid to the frequency of rides depending on the distance and then the most frequently served locations and important connections between locations surroung Vlašim are presented. Furthermore, the busiest days of the week are selected, and finally the results of both periods are compared. The research shows that in both mapped periods the 5 kilometer distance was most frequently used. In addition, the ten most served locations are nearly the same in both periods but their order changes. The thesis tries to justify these facts on the basis of information provided by the taxi drivers of the monitored taxi service. The largest amounts of individual trips were registered when driving around the city, even though several times more kilometers were driven outside the city. The busiest days are Fridays and Saturdays, both in terms of the number of trips made and the number of kilometers driven. The entire research part is accompanied by graphical and map outputs.
Motorcycle transport in the Czech Republic in the geographical perspective
TÁBOŘÍK, Tomáš
This bachelor thesis is focused on the spatial analysis of motorcycle traffic in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is the spatial analysis of motorcycle transport in the Czech Republic and the evaluation of its condition and position within the transport system. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and analytical. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the spatial mobility, transport and the transport behavior, but also to scenic roads, the history of motorcycles and the operating conditions of riding them. The analytical part is devoted to the spatial analysis of motorcycle transport, based on data from the Sčítání lidu, domů a bytů 2011, the Centrální registr vozidel and the Celostátní sčítání dopravy 2010 and 2016, from which map outputs were created. The results of this work with regard to available data led to the finding that the motorcycle as a means of transport for an ordinary commuting in the Czech Republic is mostly used in a hinterland of cities and regional centers, but otherwise its importance in this regard is very small. The spatial organization of an individual motorcycling is almost identical to the spatial organization of an individual motorization, so it is also oriented in the west - east direction. The motorcycle thus plays a dominant role in transport as a means of spending leisure activities, as evidenced by the growing number of registered motorcycles and the high intensity of their traffic on roads that to some extent fulfill the concept of scenic routes.
Young people in the suburb: the case study of Zvole
Dušek, Petr ; Špačková, Petra (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Nina (referee)
Young people in the suburb: the case study of Zvole Abstract This thesis deals with the impact of the process of residential suburbanization on changes in mobility and spatial structure of daily activities of young people. The aim is to assess the nature of some aspects of the social environment, such as character of interactions between original inhabitants and newcomers. The move to the suburban areas resulted in the need for frequent commuting to Prague to schools and services. The research showed that young people are limited by the public transport in their daily movement. The social interactions of the newcomers and the indigenous people are limited, however, it is possible to anticipate their positive development. Keywords: suburbanization, young people, spatial mobility, everyday life
GRAVITY MODELS AND THEIR USE IN THE STUDY OF THE SPACE ORGANIZATION IN AIR TRANSPORT
HAMROVÁ, Marika
The bachelor thesis deals with spatial interactions performed by air transport. These spatial interactions can be defined as core regions, often visited, regions and peripheral, less visited regions, depending on the season and distance from the aerodrome being monitored. The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of real transport connections, realized by air transport, and calculations obtained using gravitational models. Gravity models can determine the strength of interactions between two different points, the variables given may vary. For example, the city's GDP, the number of checked-in passengers, the number of flights made from the airport, the population of the city ... In this case was used as a variable the number of checked-in passengers per year and the distance between two airports. The main centers were selected by the cities of Nice and Bratislava for their specific location and functionality. The first theoretical part deals with air transport and its relation to spatial mobility. The second part of the thesis follows the strongest interaction of air corridors from the cities of Nice and Bratislava, comparing the two mentioned methods. The second part also includes maps showing the analyzed data. The data that was used for this work was obtained on the website of the airline server http://www.flightstats.com/ and http://www.mapy.cz/.

Everyday spatial mobility of population in ORP Žďár nad Sázavou: Analysis of selected processes and geographic conditionalities
MAREK, Jan
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to observe everyday spatial mobility of the population of municipality with extended powers Žďár nad Sázavou. Required data were obtained through a questionnaire for each household of chosen micro region. There were gathered information concerning characteristics of the selected households and their individual members along with record of ways involved for reference days (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday). Based on the results of the survey, an analysis of selected processes and their geographic conditionality was made. At the same time, the results were compared with domestic and foreign literature dealing with this issue. The research itself thus concerned the differences in the mobility of the groups divided according to age, economic activity and etc. These groups are characterized by different traffic behaviour in space. The results show gender differences, women are taking higher number of ways, but, on average, shorter distances than men. Most frequently people travel for work and school, these routes are particularly significant on weekdays, at the weekends, leisure activities and activities associated with the quest for services dominate. In terms of economic activity, the issue of differences in mobile behaviour of college students associated with not-every-day way to school, is highlighted. The thesis is also engaged in the intensity of operation spatiotemporal mobility during the day, with an emphasis on the differences between working days and weekends. Analytical part is supplemented with graphical reports and charts.
Daily spatial mobility of the inhabitants of the Soběslav region: analysis of selected processes and their geographic conditionality
DAVIDOVÁ, Markéta
This Bachelor's thesis deals with research on the daily spatial mobility of the inhabitants of the Soběslav region. First, necessary data was acquired using an anonymous questionnaire survey. The data provided general information about the participating households, selected personal data of their members, and records of their travels during reference days (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday). The analysis itself focused on the analysis of selected processes and their conditionality, and the results were also compared with other Czech and foreign studies conducted on a similar principle. The characteristics of daily spatial mobility in the selected region are based on the transport behaviour of the respondents divided according to established criteria gender, age, economic activity Each category moves through the area differently. Attention was also focused on finding differences in spatial mobility in terms of time; specifically, the working days of the week and the weekend. The primary focus of the research was aimed at daily spatial mobility in terms of the use of a car. It is evident from the results that it is difficult for a household in a rural area to do without owning a car. The result also showed that respondents during their regular trips, specifically travelling to work, preferred travelling by car rather than by public transport. Simultaneously, public transport was used more frequently during regular trips than during irregular trips. Furthermore, it can be seen that men are the more frequent users of a car than women. Simultaneously, they spend more time on their daily travels and travel a greater distance from home. The working group of the inhabitants has the greatest opportunities to carry out basic shopping using a car due to their high mobility. However, the most typical day for going shopping using a car was Saturday. The results are accompanied by graphs and tables.
